Tapped Enterprises Incorporated has really been in the works for years. The idea of backyard innovation and organized fun has long been a staple in the lives of some of the friends and family members of the Tapped Organization. However, the true origins come from an underground social group that was founded in the winter of 2003. Sitting around preparing for a last summer together on Long Island, some Ronkonkoma natives, with the help of a Jordan Gibbons, founded Blunta Tappa Kegga (BTK). BTK, in simpler terms was a mock fraternity that eased the transition into college for a few High School graduates. On a minor note: The name BTK originated in the south because some people have heard of it before so we were not the first ones to coin the term. However, the signature Tapped face logo did originate from the group and it is believed to be first drawn up by P Dukes.
Shortly after the group was formed, a few key members (Kevin Bowker, Tim, and P. Dukes) created one kick ass beer pong table with the signature face on it and played pretty regular in which the table found games from Manhattan to Bayshore to all over Ronkonkoma until it was finally put to rest 2nd Thanksgiving 2007(RIP).
After the release of the BTK table another early innovation sprang up, the BTK Jousting Set-up, that livened up any backyard party. Similar to the jousting event seen on the early TV show American Gladiators, BTK Jousting could settle any grudge between two friends and was very amusing to watch, especially after a couple beers.
As always, the summer of 2004 went by way too fast and one of the founders of Tapped Enterprises left for college, serious about studying business while enjoying the college life. Kevin was unsure of what path to go down for college so figured he would be most interested and could eventually make an impact by studying business. Over the 4 years at business school, Kevin used his classes to his advantage and created business plans for a few early BTK products. After hearing success from peers as well as professors, Kevin decided to make a push to start a company.
Then in the summer of 2006, while digging trenches and working like an immigrant for an irrigation company the name Tapped Enterprises was thought up of, and has been around ever since. It was not until the following year that the tagline, “Innovation for Celebration” was installed into the mission of the organization.
Now, after the first eight months of being in business Tapped Enterprises Inc. has many goals and dreams for the future while staying true to its mission of improving social gatherings and enhancing social creativity as well as our tagline “Innovation for Celebration.” Tapped Enterprises Inc. is focused on doing more promotional events and bar crawls on Long Island and is in the process of building up and launching Long Island Pub Crawls (lipubcrawls.com). Long Island Pub Crawls simply captures the need for young to middle aged adults to have a fun night out without the hassle of drinking and driving. Focusing on future expansion and eventually helping bachelors and bachelorettes plan parties.
